TIN Matching Alert – effective 2/1/2008

TIN Matching where companies can verify if the TIN/Name combinations in their 1099 systems are correct has proven to be a tremendous success! To better serve the customers of 1099 Pro, Inc. responsibility for the program is now with our sister company IRS Compliance, Inc. allowing 1099 Pro to focus on it’s core business of providing software and web centric solutions for information reporting. IRS Compliance will continue to focus on regulatory compliance issues such as Penalty Abatement, Compliance Audits, Federal, State & Local reporting requirements as well as data importing & filing services, TIN Matching and other information reporting issues.

1099 Pro will continue to support the TIN/Name data export in it's software products. As per IRS regulations users of this service provided by IRS Compliance will have to designate IRS Compliance, Inc. as an authorized agent or provide a Power of Attorney to IRSCompliance.org, Inc. so they can act as your agent to register your organization as a participant to use the IRS TIN Matching program.
